Celebrity chef Rongon Neogi started Continental Catering Services when he was a student of Institute of Hotel Management & Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition Kolkata . He has had a vast experience in this field having worked in HOTEL OBEROI GRAND KOLKATA, The KENILWORTH HOTEL KOLKATA , SOALTE OBEROI KATHMANDU. He specialised in Continental cookery while being trained in CHAINES DES ROTISSEURS in Germany.

From the very beginning his aim was to make Continental Catering Services a noted brand in the city of joy Kolkata and the journey has been a long and steady one through his creative mindset and innovative ideas as far as food is concerned.

Apart from being the founder and partner of Continental Catering Services he is also a popular face in the Indian culinary world with his appearances in various Television culinary shows in Bengal for instance in Etv, Akash Ath, Zee Bangla, R Plus, Sadhana Tv etc for more than 15 yrs now and as a food columnist for 3 decades in various noteworthy magazines for instance Sananda ( he’s associated with Sananda since it’s inception) Femina , Paroma, Hangla hneshel, Sampurna, Adwitiya etc.

He’s being invited as guest Editor in a new coming Bengali Food magazine.His regular columns of wedding feast was very popular with The Times Of India Kolkata edition. He has also been honoured to be the judge of various culinary events across the city and beyond . Recently he was the guest Judge of the most popular culinary reality show of Bangladesh NTV Channel ‘Rupchanda daily star super chef’ in Bangladesh . He acted as a guest Chef in two popular Bengali Mega Serial namely ‘Khokababu ‘ & ‘ Bhojo Gobinda’.

His YouTube channel is very popular across India as well as abroad with more than 14 million viewers till date . His 450 + recipe videos in YouTube channel is the highest among Bengali culinary artists in digital media. He regularly contribute recipes in different popular digital media such as Anandabazar, Sangbad Biswa Bangla , Women’s Time etc.

He appeared in 100 episodes in the Bengali Portal of Anandabazar Patrika . He is recently working on dishes with historical anecdotes and his upcoming cook book which is to be published soon. And, why not? Well, SUMAN NEOGI is a graduate of Bhawanipur Education Society, and an alumnus of the prestigious INSTITUTE OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT AND CATERING TECHNOLOGY AND APPIED NUTRITION at Taratala, Kolkata.

Suman’s work experience is, to say the least, spectacular, even awe inspiring.

Immediately after completion of hotel management course he joined CONCLAVE BUSINESS CENTRE of Ambuja - Neotia Group, which is an exclusive business club, as Food and Beverages trainee.

On completion of training, he joined OBEROI, BHUBANESWAR as Management Trainee and got extensive training in the field of Food and Beverages, and after completion of OBEROI training joined TAJ BENGAL as kitchen trainee.

Then, after an interlude in Germany, he returned to serve his motherland and joined HOTEL SAMILTON, Kolkata as ASSISTANT FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANAGER, where he got an opportunity to establish himself as management personnel, and where he exhibited his quality, acquired from his aforesaid training.

Not being a man to remain satisfied with his achievements and eager for more, Suman ventured to NEPAL, and joined as FOOD AND BEVERAGE MANGER at NARAYANI GROUP OF HOTELS. Within a short span of six months he was promoted as OPERATION MANAGER. He used to look after two units simultaneously, a Hotel and a Resort. He implemented an array of modern concepts of the hotel industry and then was rewarded with a promotion as EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT MANAGER. He controlled the service function of the hotel (including Food & Beverages, kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance etc) as well as administration.

Suman’s dedication and acumen bore fruit and he was appointed to the cherished position of DIRECTOR of SALES and MARKETING of DYNASTY PLAZA, KATHMANDU, where he was exposed to and assimilated the intricacies of Marketing of Hotel Business.

An entrepreneur that he is, Suman felt an intense urge to contribute to the hotel and catering business, and became partner of CONTINENTAL CATERING SERVICES, which was already running with reputation and singly owned by RONGON NEOGI, Suman’s elder brother.

From January,1995 till date he is a BUSINESS PARTNER of the CONTINENTAL CATERING SERVICES.
